Job Title | Fibre/Civils/Aerial (Field Supervisor/ Field Project Engineer / O&M Engineer) |
Job Purpose | Supervising the Preparation of existing ducting by Test Rod, Roping and subducting where required in readiness to receive cable and performing the subsequent cable installation as per the prescribed methods for network connectivity, including but not limited to Pulling,
Blowing, Floating and Direct Buried. |

What the role entails
(Key Responsibilities) |
· Interpretation of Work Packs, Schematics, SLDs, Engineering Design Drawings & Schedules
Site Supervision and Supervision of:- · Duct Cleaning, Readiness and Lubrication · Test, Rod and Rope (including back roping) · Blockage Identification · Subduct and Microbore Installation · Performing Duct Integrity Test · OFC Blowing, Deblowing, Floating and Pulling using appropriate equipment · Cable looping. · Cable Labelling/Colleting as per Specifications · Civils avoidance techniques, including the use of desilting machines · Completion of all job related paperwork (such as A55’s) · Knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements · Follow Industrial Best Practices · Trenching and ducting · Blowing is blowing · AT is acceptance training · DRT data recording terminal · DRT duct roder test · And GP lit up is network signal testing |
What we are looking for in you

· Ability to interpret Drawings, SLD’s, Schematics and Schedule
· Experience In Cable Handling. · Experienced with OFC Installation Techniques (eg Blowing, Floating Pulling, Aerial). · Blowing/Pulling of multiple cables in single Duct. · Knowledge of Industry best Practices and HSE. · Well versed with OFC and limitations. · Comfortable Working at Heights (ie Telegraph Poles via MEWP or Ladder) · Trenching and ducting · Blowing is blowing · AT is acceptance training · DRT data recording terminal · DRT duct roder test · And GP lit up is network signal testing |

Technical Skills:
· 1-3 years experiences of Laying, Installation, Splicing / Joining & OTDR Testing of Optic Fibre Cable in Main-Line (preference given to those with additional experience
Candidate must have experience in Laying in Optic Fiber Cable (OFC) & He should know about · Execution :- Candidate Must Executed owned with following scopes of Jobs · Survey :- He had done the survey of Site · ROW :- Granting of ROW permission for laying telecom cables / OFC duct · Trenching:– Open Trench and under-ground Trenching · HDD:- Horizontal Directional Drilling Machine · Aerial :- Aerial fiber optic cable is a type of fiber optic cables that is usually used for outside installation on poles. · Ducting :- Ducts (or conduits) offer a highly protective environment for fiber-optic cables. They are typically buried, and then the cables are air-blown, jetted, pulled or pushed into the duct · Manhole Installation :- In Underground Fiber Optic Networks we had noticed in the last 20 years that the most critic point are the nodes. Either Manholes or Handholes. What is the difference between them? Usually Manholes are used in urban areas while Handholes are generally for Open Area outside the localities or for only one operator network including inside the cities. · DIT :- DIT-Duct Integrity Test is a complete series of tests performed on the underground duct for laying of optical fiber. · OTDR :- It is a fiber optic instrument used to characterize, troubleshoot and maintain optical telecommunication networks. OTDR testing is performed by transmitting and analyzing pulsed laser light traveling through an optical fiber. · LSPM :- LSPM determines the total light loss along a fiber link by using a known light source at one end of the fiber and a power meter at the other. But before the test can be done, as described earlier, a reference power level from the source is measured and recorded to set a baseline for the power loss calculation. · · Hoto :- HOTO abbreviation stands for Hand Over Take Over · Technical training is must, AT is acceptance training · Previous experience testing for improved experience · Experience using FO troubleshooting tools (i.e. OTDR, Mass Fusion Splicing, etc.) · Comfortable Working at Heights (ie Telegraph Poles via MEWP or Ladder) · Trenching and ducting, Blowing is blowing · DRT data recording terminal · DRT duct roder test, And GP lit up is network signal testing |

· Candidates Without Telecom Fiber (Splicing & OTDR) Experience but holds Degree/Diploma/BCA/ITI – from Engineering Background can also Apply through Training & Certification Program. |

Salary – 3.00 LPA ( up to 25K per month) Other Benefits
- Own Bike/Conveyance is a must – conveyance reimbursement provided @Rs. 3.5/km, to a max of Rs. 7500/month
